China a true friend

EDITOR — I RECEIEVD with joy and pride news that Zimbabwe signed more than 10 mega economic deals with our dearest partner and true friend China.
The signing by Zimbabwe of the mega deals is a welcome development in many ways.
Not only does this progressive development put to shame efforts by the country’s detractors to tarnish efforts by President Mugabe and his ZANU PF party to revive the economy but it confirms the commitment by the leadership to uplift the livelihoods of the majority.
Since ZANU PF’s thumping of the ever blundering MDC-T in the July 31 2013 harmonised elections, I have witnessed and read with utter dismay and profound reports that President Mugabe cannot improve the economy.
Some even went to the extent of calling for his removal from office.
But since I like many other progressive elements in the country knew that this was the work of the enemy I was not moved by these reports and the fact the economy was not doing well because I knew it was being sabotaged.
I took comfort from the fact that President Mugabe has a proven track record of delivering his promises as we have seen through the land reform programme and the indigenisation and economic empowerment programme.
With these deals we will see the economy growing to unprecedented levels.
There are benefits for the majority too. Come 2018 we will witness ZANU PF winning again. Thank you China for being a true friend.
