Nothing will derail us

Published on

WE go into yet another summer cropping season, with the year almost done and we are happy.

The strides we have made as a nation are quite impressive.

Nevertheless, our enemies continue to hover over us.

They are unrelenting.

Over the years, our former colonisers have benefitted a lot from our resources, which include minerals, land and the weather.

They have not given up their fight to regain control of our resources.

That is why there is this incessant pressure to bring about regime change in the country.

However, this has not affected the ZANU PF-led Government’s determination to empower the black majority by making them owners of their own resources.

The Second Republic is succeeding, much to the annoyance of the US and its allies.

We are winning the battle over minerals, over land and the economy in general.

But the expected resistance persists.

That is why the sanctions remain in place.

But these sanctions will not derail us.

Nevertheless, it is disturbing and annoying that some of the people, who don’t want us to benefit from our own resources, are indigenes being used as fronts for Western interests.

So-called ‘human rights’ activists continue in their desperate attempt to have the sanctions maintained by besmirching the country left, right and centre.

Our message to our detractors is that Zimbabwe belongs to Zimbabweans and our leaders will protect the nation till the end of time.

We have capable leaders who are transforming our fortunes and ensuring that we will never be depended on the West.

Through our resources and ingenuity, we are propelling our nation into a very bright future.

Right now the West is more determined than ever before to be directly in control of our minerals and other resources or to install a puppet government.

This is because the West is in economic turmoil and the surest hope of quick recovery is through ‘cheap’ resources from Africa.

And they will stop at nothing to achieve this.

But if we remain firmly in control and in charge of our resources, we will be able to direct the proceeds to whatever areas as determined by us.

That’s the way to go.

Gone is the illusion that our economy can be jerked up by some handouts from the West.

In the past, the excitable opposition promised people heaven on earth, that loads of cash would be supplied to rebuild the country, which never happened during the era of  the inclusive Government.

The best way forward for all Zimbabweans, including civil society and so-called ‘human rights’ activists is to unequivocally call for the removal of sanctions.

The civil society, ‘activists’ and their backers are doomed to fail in their attempt to discredit Zimbabwe as the country is moving ahead and thriving.
