Jonathan Moyo: When a hyena goes vegetarian!

Published on

ZIMBABWEANS, both at home and abroad, got the shock of their lives when they saw Professor Jonathan Moyo on the BBC programme, Hardtalk, attacking the Government of President Emmerson Mnangagwa saying it did not respect the country’s Constitution as well as that of its political party ZANU PF; that it was not popular and was benefitting from what he called Zimbabwe’s neo-colonial status.
The people, naturally cannot understand why Moyo has the guts to rubbish a Government which is presently receiving overwhelming support right across the country, from the whole of SADC, the rest of Africa and the world.
Yes, why did he preach malicious propaganda against a Government which is working hard to do away with corruption, is increasing transparency in its dealings as well as ensuring inclusiveness?
Why did Moyo, with foam on the mouth, sweat on forehead, ducking and diving in front of the cameras like a boxer unashamedly and robustly lie to the world that the new Government, welcomed by all Zimbabweans, had no respect for the Constitution?
The simple answer is that Moyo was singing for his supper, full stop.
The reason the disgraced professor attacked the current Government was to endear himself to Western organisations who are likely to dish out money and make him their point man in the country for not so holy projects.
Moyo’s claim that he is a man who always abides by what the Constitution says, is false.
Now let us come to the talk of Zimbabwe being a neo-colony and the present Government having benefitted from that situation.
To start with, Zimbabwe is not a neo-colony of Britain and so it is nonsensical to say the present Government benefitted from the so-called neo-colonial status of our country.
But let us not miss the point that Moyo is making here.
The man is saying he is a squeaky clean African revolutionary who has nothing to do with the former colonial master Britain and all its institutions.
Yes, he may have fed on the colonial master during those times when he was in Kenya, South Africa, the US, and Zimbabwe with his G40 cabal. But now that he is out of the country he has since stopped feeding on the former colonial master having been ‘born again’ as an African revolutionary.
He is now on a completely new diet. Really Professor Moyo!
This man has been feeding on the former colonial master Britain all his political life.
This has been his main political diet all his life, making him politically energetic, strong and everything you can think of.
Now that his G40 cabal is in tatters, he now tells us he has changed diet. He now feeds on the African revolutionary diet.
Can anyone with his full senses believe him!
Nobody!
Goats as well as humans must always be extremely vigilant once we hear a hyena announce that he has suddenly gone vegetarian. This is because he wants us to lose our guard, at which point he will pounce.
Here is Moyo, busy dishing out malicious propaganda using the former colonial master’s biggest propaganda weapon, the BBC, saying with a straight face: “I do not have anything to do with Britain, but it is the present Government who are benefitting from the British because we are their neo-colony.”
Outrageous!
Don’t forget this is not the first time Moyo has used the BBC to push his cause.
Not so very long ago, he was on BBC’s Hardtalk again, campaigning against President Mnangagwa becoming president of the country.
Therefore, don’t be fooled.
Moyo has not changed his diet.
He is still feeding and getting strong on the former colonial master as his main diet.
Now, let us come to the big falsehood which says that Moyo respected both the ZANU PF Constitution and the national one.
Blue lies!
Let us first look at our experience with Moyo and the ZANU PF party constitution.
The professor’s sidekick and partner in political crime, Saviour Kasukuwere, completely tore the ZANU PF constitution to shreds when he was the party’s political commissar while Moyo ululated.
Here is what really transpired.
Kasukuwere as a political commissar of the party was not given powers by the party to discipline members.
This was the function of disciplinary committees.
However, contrary to what the party constitution provided, Kasukuwere went on to dismiss provincial and district chairpersons he didn’t like and installed his puppets.
He went further and created new party structures up and down the country, destroying those which had been set up at the ZANU PF Congress of 2014.
Kasukuwere’s actions were all outside the party’s constitution and Moyo cheered him on.
But today, the professor says he respects constitutions.
Lies!
Professor, stop crying, ED is now the rightful President of Zimbabwe. Full stop.
Live with it.
