Beneath the Zimbabwe flag

Published on

WHEN a nation comes into being the way Zimbabwe did, the parameters are very clear.
When thousands of Zimbabweans willingly laid down their lives for this dear land, they did it for very grave reasons, they did not give up their lives lightly.
In freely giving the ultimate sacrifice, they underlined that each Zimbabwean is correct in their own right, they protected the social, economic and political rights of each Zimbabwean, ‘vakakoshesa kodzero dzomunhu oga-oga.’
Certain things therefore do not belong beneath the Zimbabwe flag.
Human rights yes, but not the right to prostitution, homosexuality, witchcraft, worship of sangomas and so on.
Prostitution is a violation of human rights because it violates the rights of individuals to live a dignified life, the rights of families to live in peace, the rights of children to decent family life, therefore prostitution does not belong beneath the Zimbabwe flag.
During the liberation struggle, one of the cardinals was that no freedom fighter should indulge in prostitution, pre or extra marital. That was forbidden, that is how the sons and daughters of Zimbabwe liberated their country, that is the foundation they laid for a new society.
Therefore it is not correct that one should encounter strange half-clad beings in our Avenues. That is not who we are, it diminishes and hurts us more than is visible on the surface. We need a Zimbabwe where we can raise our children in the best wholesome environment. Zimbabwe was not liberated to harbour prostitutes nor to shield prostitution. It is not right that children should see such in their neighbourhoods. That is not the vision which inspired the liberation struggle. The rights of children and all decent Zimbabweans are protected by the flag of Zimbabwe and therefore should not be abrogated. Wherever they fought, the liberation forces straightened society, they fought prostitution and witchcraft. Ndidzo nzira dzamasoja for which they fought and by which they lived. Thus we sang during the liberation struggle: ‘ZANU yaramba zvamadhisinyongoro,’ and we still sing today! Rusvingo rweZimbabwe harungamiswi, harungashingiswi netsikadzakaora kudai. Moral rectitude was not incidental to the liberation struggle, it was fundamental.
If such behaviours are allowed to flourish in our Zimbabwe, it will not work for us because they are incompatible with what that flag stands for, with what brought it into being, if as a people we bow down to such evil, it will diminish our life force, thus diminishing our protection against famine, disease, death and other calamities, madness even. Our flag is not just a piece of cloth with interesting colours, it symbolises what we chose to be over the centuries and who we have defined ourselves as today,as distinct from anyone else on this planet.
The concept of sex workers is inimical to us, it is not coined by us, to us Zimbabweans it is diabolical, it is a cancer which eats into the moral fabric of our society. Those who peddle such evil concepts and pretend that it is in defense of human rights, do so because they know that a society whose moral fabric does not exist will not go anywhere, it is a sitting duck for predators who seek to bring each nation to its knees so they can plunder and loot their resources. Thus they send their pundits all over the world to ensnare nations with such suicidal ideas. They are the vanguard of capitalism, preparing the ground for capitalist take over by feeding the intended victims the opiate of cultural imperialism. Once the victims start singing and dancing the master’s tune, it is much easier to weave the capitalist web.
It is these same gangsters who peddle homosexuality, seeking to ensnare our young into this bottomless pit of mire for the same capitalist purposes. A decadent people have no soul, have no principle, and therefore can be bought and sold like slaves. All that is needed is the right price, in dollar terms.
As prostitution spreads and increasingly seems normal, it lowers the moral threshold of the nation especially among our young, and this makes it easier for the other rot, the rot of homosexuality to spread among our young ensnaring them into this pathos.
While homosexuals do not want to participate in procreation, they still selfishly want the joys that come with raising children. Is it possible that there is a worse hell than for any child to be raised by such?
The rights of these children are also protected by the Zimbabwe flag and therefore it is criminal to let any children fall into such snares. These children will never be normal, they will be doomed.
Homosexuality is not a human right, it is anti-human behaviour, it exists outside the orbit of human behaviour thus it destroys the whole cultural cycle, it destroys our values, our beliefs, even our normal feelings, in the end we are a no people. It is catastrophic for this to gain a foothold among our people. Should our children turn to this abnormality there would be no future nation to talk of. In Biblical times it caused the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. There is no place for it beneath the Zimbabwe flag, this satanic behavior is alien and inimical to us.
Kodzero dzakafirwa navarwi verusunguko do not include witchcrafting. While witchcraft was always marginal among our people, totally rejected in our tradition and fought by the liberation forces during the liberation struggle, there is increasing popularisation of certain alarming tendencies involving sorcery, magic, witchcraft, satanic orgies, sangomas and new age prophets. The mainstreaming of this does not augur well for us.
We did not use charms, witchcraft or sangomas to liberate Zimbabwe. It was a gruelling physical struggle, entailing physical deprivations of all kinds, people left family, home, school, work, they sacrificed, they died. This is how the battle for Zimbabwe was won, that is how Zimbabwe came into being.
To try and purport that one can circumvent honest hard work by engaging in all kinds of sorcery or witchcraft or satanic orgies to make money, to steal wives, husbands, children, to get jobs, to get on in the world in general without sweating, does not work in Zimbabwe because it goes against the grain of the soul of our nation. Every nation has a soul and such is not part of ours. Those are deviant behaviours,Zimbabwe will never prosper by such, there is no place for such beneath the Zimbabwean flag. This is why wherever they went, freedom fighters fought witchcraft. To resurrect these practices and to fan them is retrogressive and suicidal, we can never build a Great Zimbabwe based on such.
We fought for a certain specific society; prostitution, homosexuality, and witchcraft were never part of that vision, these do not belong beneath the Zimbabwe flag.
