British kings were the real savages

Published on

WHEN the British’s evil colonial criminals came to Africa on their barbaric mission to colonise our countries they always described our kings, queens and chiefs they came into contact with as ‘savages’ who were said to be evil and bloodthirsty.
These British colonialists gave the impression that their kings and queens back home in Britain were shining examples of good governance.
Yea, that they were paragons of leadership excellence who had always ruled their subjects very well from times immemorial.
Below, however, we show that on the contrary many British kings and queens were real barbaric savages who killed their subjects for very minor reasons.
The lies and exaggerations about the so-called savage leaderships of our past kings and chiefs, was meant to justify colonisation which the British wrongly described as civilising missions.
It is interesting to note that the lies about bad leadership in Africa have not stopped since colonial times.
Only the language has changed.
Today they talk of ‘African dictators’ who rule without democracy, human rights etc.
All lies and cruel exaggerations.
Now let us go back to our story and we give you a good example of the kind of lies and exaggerations concerning the so-called savage leadership of our past rulers which were made by the British colonialists when they arrived in our country to prepare to colonise it.
Here we give the example of King Lobengula who was described in very unpalatable language by one man called Cooper Chadwick who had been sent by Cecil John Rhodes to spy on the country on the eve of the colonisation of Zimbabwe.
Here is what that man says.
“I now turn to my personal experiences in Matabeleland.
“Soon after arriving in Gubulawayo (Bulawayo) we went to pay our respects and first to Lobengula accompanied by Mandy who acted as interpreter.
“The King was seated outside the royal quarters surrounded by a large number of Indunas and warriors.
“He stands over six feet in height, but is so enormously fat that it makes him look smaller.
“His features are coarse and exhibit great cunning and cruelty.
“Everything that takes place in the country is brought before him and woe betide anyone who contradicts himself as the king will at once notice it.
“In order to maintain control over his people, he has to rule them by fire and blood and does not often err on the side of mercy.
“Death is the ordinary punishment for crime.
“Witchcraft and the supposed power of rainmaking are a great resource to the king and help him to uphold his dignity.”
Falsehoods and more falsehoods.
Anyone reading the above would think the writer was a man who came from a country where the kings who ruled his homeland down the ages were pure angels.
But we show below that, no, his past kings were in fact devils.
We start by looking at one of the British kings called Henry II.
There was a man called Thomas Becket who had “risen to power as prime minister under King Henry II.
“At that time all Christians in England belonged to the Catholic church.
“Even he King Henry was a vassal of the Pope.
“He, King Henry had appointed his friend Becket as archbishop of Cantebury – head of the Catholic church in England that time to gain an ‘upper hand’ in disputes with the church.
“But the independent and often combative Thomas Becket took the Pope’s side more than once.”
And for this reason only the evil King Henry II decided to kill him.
“Four of King Henry’s knights murdered Becket – right in his own cathedral.”
Unbelievable!
One of the worst barbaric kings of the British was another Henry – Henry VIII.
There was a young brilliant lawyer called Thomas More during Henry VIII’s reign.
Thomas more, “loved life, laughter and classical learning.
“He was also a dedicated churchman who wrote a famous book Utopia.
“He became one of King Henry’s chief ministers.
“However, he had a standoff with the king over the law.
“King Henry wanted to ignore the law, but Thomas More wanted the law to be observed.
“For observing the law, King Henry had Thomas More beheaded.”
Then we come to the same King Henry VIII and his many wives.
He had six wives.
“The sexual intrigues of the count trapped several of Henry’s wives: the King could play around, but he couldn’t tolerate being suspicious of his wives’ fidelity.
“The price paid by two of his six wives was heavy.
“Like Thomas More, these two wives, one Anne Boleyn and another Catherine Howard lost their heads on the chopping block.
“In his old age, Henry VIII became coarse, arrogant and an expert womaniser.”
What a barbaric and savage king this man was!
Lastly we look at the barbaric deeds of one of the British queens – one called Mary.
“Mary was a devout, strongly-willed Catholic.
“She restored the Pope’s power in England and ruthlessly hunted down Protestants.
“She burned about 300 of her subjects (Protestants) at the stake.
“Mary’s executions earned her the name ‘Bloody Mary’.
Here you are!
While the British were very good at giving our kings, queens and chiefs all the bad names you can think of as they came to colonise us, back home they had left behind real barbaric savages.
Yes, devils!
What is quite annoying is the fact that today the same British together with the Americans are still singing the same old, ugly songs saying our leaders are: ‘Tinpot dictators’, ‘undemocratic presidents’, ‘murderers’ etc. and yet back home they have terrible dictators such as George Bush, Tony Blair etc whose illegal wars killed many innocent people, but absolutely nothing is said about the above duo being savage dictators.
What is important to always remember, however, is that the British had more barbaric and savage kings and leaders in the past and even today than us.
