Don’t be fooled that 1955 was better

Published on

THE cries made by those black people who claim that Rhodesia in 1955 was better than Zimbabwe in 2015 are the same as those made by the Israelites in Exodus 16, vs 3 when they wished for a return to the ‘good old days’ back in Egypt under the bondage of Pharaoh.
Zimbabweans must derive inspiration from Exodus.
The deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt to the ‘promised land’ took over a generation to achieve as they wandered throughout the desert and faced many trials and tribulations as a nascent nation.
These are the same trials and tribulations that Zimbabwe is going through and we should never be fooled by anyone, let alone by pharaoh himself, to wish to return to Egypt.
Also contrary to one Bronwyn Murray, Zimbabwe is not a begging bowl.
We are growing and the economy is strengthening on the back of improvements in the agricultural sector.
For instance, where it took the former white farmers over four decades to reach 180 million kilogrammes of tobacco annually with massive government and bank support, our black farmers have done it in less than 15 years, with minimal government support and zero bank credit, plus sanctions against the country on top of it all!
By the way, the tobacco selling season is kicking off soon and hundreds of millions of US dollars will be flowing into our black pockets and that is why you whites are so pissed off!
Murray, did your father or grandfather ‘lose’ a farm in Zimbabwe?
Maybe they can come back and ask for a job as a farm supervisor.
