Dr Bobo was one of a kind

Published on

EDITOR – I would like through your paper to convey my condolence message to the Mambo family on the passing on of Hilton Mambo whom we also knew as Dr Bobo. When I heard that the veteran broadcaster had died, I was so shocked and dismayed by it though I knew he had not been feeling well. I will always remember him for his soothing and husky voice when he hosted the jazz show called Mumbo Jumbo’s World. I am very sure all the jazz lovers will miss Dr Bobo too. He was a good guy who left an indelible mark in the media and I am sure that those who were close to him would testify that he was ‘indeed one of a kind’. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Jane Moyo Hatfield, Harare
