EDITOR – THE relevant authorities should probe the issue of vendors who sell meat by the roadside, especially in high-density suburbs in the country. In Mufakose, Mbare, Glen View, Epworth and other areas, we continue to see people displaying meat outside as if there are no butcheries. I must say that this is a health hazard that should be taken seriously. Surely, relevant authorities should not let this go on because very soon there is going to be an outbreak of diseases especially in high-density areas. People in general should prioritise hygiene by desisting from buying meat sold by vendors by the roadside. It is wrong to sell meat in the open as is happening in some areas and it should stop immediately.
