Keep it up FC Platinum

Published on

I WAS delighted after watching the Confederation Cup preliminary first leg match between Sofapaka FC and our own FC Platinum last Sunday.
Our boys really played good football and the neat passes they made, though in a bumpy field made them steal the show.
Well Norman Mapeza’s belief in the young players is what we need in our teams.
When he named a youthful side for the African Safari, many condemned him.
With the likes of Wisdom Mutasa, Walter Musona, Brian Muzondiwa, Raphael Muduviwa, the Moyo twins and Tatenda Dzumbunu among others, many thought the players would receive a baptism of fire in the preliminary stage of the competition, but that was not the case.
FC Platinum got an upper hand in the third half as the Sofapaka FC defence was rather slow while our young energetic strikers had pace.
That saved the day for our team.
It’s a big lesson to the local Premiership teams that in football you should have a good average age to win.
Even the future of the national team will be good as most players will be at prime age.
I commend Mapeza and I think dismissing him as head coach of the national team was the greatest mistake our football administrators made.
We hope to see more action in the Confederation Cup through Mapeza and his FC Platinum side.
Thanks you guys.
We are proud of you.
