THE current instabilitiy in Libya has contributed to that country losing the golden opportunity to host the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2013. The 2013 tournament was supposed to be held in Libya, but it seems Confederation of African Football (CAF) had second thoughts. The country has already lost the opportunity to host the 2011 African Youth Championship (AYC) to South Africa.
