Message to the new Cabinet

Published on

EDITOR – I WOULD like to congratulate President Robert Mugabe who on Tuesday announced a balanced Cabinet.
Some of the people that His Excellency appointed are tried and tested as they have in the past worked impressively as Ministers or Deputy Ministers.

Congratulations to those that were appointed.
Indeed the men and women who have been chosen have a great task ahead and the onus is now on them not to disappoint President Mugabe and us Zimbabweans.
We have faith in them that in the next five years they will help stir Zimbabwe in the right direction.
Just like President Mugabe urged them, they should know it is now time to work hard and ensure they produce positive results.
We expect them to deliver.
By being ministers they should know we are watching and we expect them to serve the public.
So comrades the race starts now let us work together to ensure the Zimbabwean story is a successful one.
Let us say no to corruption and abuse of office.
In fact, all ministers need to be responsible and accountable because Zimbabweans want to see their country prosper.
We have come a long way and as long as we remain united and focused, Zimbabwe will become the envy of many nations.
We have the resources and skilled labour and if we use these wisely, who and what can stop us?
None, but ourselves.
