Motivational Corner: Boost your self-esteem and restore your physical well being

WHEN you are feeling low, your immune system suffers.  By boosting your self-esteem, you can restore your physical well being.  As a matter of fact, many diseases can be eliminated if you take care of your mental health and live your life positively.

Keep a chart to monitor what builds and what knocks your self-esteem.  If exercising or meditating helps to build it aim to do those things more often.  If reading books/magazines, watching or listening to a certain programme on television/radio then make time and indulge on those things.

Everyday think and act on the things that lift your spirits up. Avoid all the thoughts and things that lower your spirits.In today’s world, we need to take control of our environment and be able to discern the things that get us down and the ones that boost our morale.  Associate with people who make your life fun and try to avoid spending a lot of your time with negative people.  

Avoid or switch off the things that can make you unwell and spend more time on your morale boosters. One very good and permanent way of keeping your morale up is always living with a grateful heart.  

Always try and find something to be grateful about, things like good health, family, friends and many more other things that you have every day.  It does not matter the situation you might find yourself in.
If you think clearly, you are bound to find something that you can be grateful about.  
That way you will be assisting your immune system to go up.

Always aim to take control of your thoughts and your actions. Feed your mind with positive thoughts and train your subconscious to always dwell on good issues or ideas.  

Begin each day with positive thoughts.  
If you are sick or you are looking for a breakthrough on anything, just tell your mind that this is the day that good things are going to happen in your life.

Wake up and listen to good music or share positive news with people around you. At the end of the day do not wait until you are shattered to go to bed.  

End the day on a positive note – this will affect your subconscious while you sleep and set the scene for positive things to happen the next day.
