Not all miracles are from God

WHEN men and women become more powerful than the Creator, that is definitely a disaster in the making.
We respect all faiths; we do not make or pronounce judgment on any religion.
But when a religion threatens the success of a people, the progress of a nation we cannot help, but be very worried and speak.
We speak on the condition that the Creator, the Supreme Being ultimately wants to see people and nations thrive and prosper.
We speak for ourselves, our people and our country and no one else.
We respect Christianity.
Many in this country are Christians as much as they are traditionalists who still consider our departed forefathers and mothers as conduits to get to Musikavanhu/Umdali.
However, the fanaticism that has gripped some of those in the Christian community is disturbing.
Many of us are familiar with Christianity and its all important book, the Bible.
Many of us have read it and what it says is not what is being practised by today’s so-called prophets, ‘Men-of-God’ and their followers.
When prophets accord themselves the power to condemn souls to eternal damnation are they not giving themselves an authority that is not theirs?
Literally, they are urging the burning and destruction of those that do not believe or follow them, how is this any different from terrorism.
Will these tomorrow not become Boko Harams and start waging jihads.
Obviously followers of some of these ‘Men-of-God’ are not interested in studying the Word of God and know what it is.
Considering their behaviour, they want miracles more than they want to be connected to the Creator.
Soon as a nation we will suffer if we do not stop to determine whether those we follow are for God or are people with different agendas.
We will suffer not only spiritually, but in the physical realm as well.
The example of the minister whose scalp was demanded after he urged people to work and not believe in ‘miracles’ is typical of the intolerance that is beginning to worry us.
And with intelligence organisations from the West behind some of these roaring ‘prophets’, we have every right to be concerned.
If forces that are continuously seeking to destabilise us are working with these superstar ‘prophets’ should we not be alarmed.
These ‘prophets’ mind you command large followings ready to die for them so-to-speak.
Nations are built by hard work and blessings from the Creator are given on condition of good works.
In the Bible, the Creator says my people perish because of lack of knowledge and truly we are perishing.
The current worship is by and large steeped in ignorance, selfishness and fulfilling human and not divine agendas.
If the Word is not supreme, but ‘prophets’ of questionable character, are we not doomed?
Because of the shadiness of these men and women on the pulpits there is now a lot of decadence that is not only threatening individuals, but the very fabric of the nation.
Today it is moral decay and tomorrow it will be something worse.
As a country it is imperative that we relook, rethink and reevaluate our ways.
Definitely not all miracles are from Musikavanhu/Umdali.
There are miracles which are from the devil and his agents and we must be wary of these.
