Rest in peace Chengetai

Published on

EDITOR – LIFE is just too short.
I received with shock the sad news of Chengetai Ditima’s death.
I used to enjoy his reporting of sports news on ZBC.
Here and there I would see him at various sporting events in the country although I never got the chance to talk to him.
In fact I never bothered, but would wait for his updates on television.
I heard colleagues testifying at his burial in Seke that he was such a humble man and always jovial.
It made sense because one could feel it that Chenge enjoyed his work as he reported or read sports news.
So Chenge you have left a void that will be difficult to fill at ZBC and even in your family.
Little did I know that you were actually 42 years old and a father of four.
You shall be missed Chenge.
The number of people who were saddened by your untimely death goes to show that you had a huge following in the country.
Life is a shadow indeed as you used to say Chenge.
Rest in peace ‘Chengmaster’, Famba zvakanaka, Lala ngokuthula.
