Stop looking West: Part Two..…blacks should unite for self-preservation

SINCE the rise of the US to world dominion after the defeat of Japan in the 1940s, the victim of colonisation by the West is no longer called ‘colonised’ but a ‘friendly’ nation.
Such ‘friendly’ nations will have American military bases on their soils, among other things, and these become ‘the sword of Domocles’ for the rest of the African countries who do not tow the line.
The army of that nation becomes essentially an American army because they will only fight in the interests of their friend or coloniser.
This is evident in Japan, Kenya and Botswana where even their military are armed by the US.
Countries that refuse to accept Western soft power are marked as hostile and those against Western traits like homosexuality are condemned outright.
Those that wish to remain free and practise their own culture can even be confronted with war if soft power and diplomacy do not work in converting their people into tolerating or partaking of Western ways.
This is evident in Somalia which has been at war with the West for a long time now.
Zimbabwe too has been condemned by the West for President Mugabe’s hardline stance on homosexuality.
For a country to be called ‘friendly’ by the West, there has to be a co-operative leader and possibly a puppet.
By way of international organisations such as the United Nations (UN), the West places these ‘friends’ of theirs in governmental power by regime change or authorising transitional governments that they endorse.
The rebels to these Western-sponsored regimes are labelled as ‘terrorists’ and this is evident in Palestine, Israel and Somalia among other places.
These are tactics that have been used over and over, particularly by the US which does not want to admit to being a coloniser yet its interests and activities are obviously colonial in this modern time.
Africa has lost knowledge of self because its children have forgotten their history. How can one know where to go if he knows not where he came from?
By unlocking our great history, we awaken ourselves to our potential because if our ancestors were great before, we can also be great.
We are still black, and we are still in Africa, but what we have lost is knowledge of self and direction.
For this reason, Africans are ever so prepared to physically or mentally leave their precious land for the West.
If history is too farfetched as a clarion call, one must comprehend Africa’s current land, mineral, water, animal, plant and human resources.
Africa is a large landscape.
By surface area, Africa can jointly accommodate the US, Mexico, Western and Eastern Europe, Spain, Japan, India and China all on its land mass.
Not only is Africa spacious, it has vast grasslands and forests that sustain abundant plant, animal and human life.
It is also abundant in minerals and fossil fuels.
Africa holds about 15 percent of the world’s human population and has about 1,2 billion people.
The overwhelming majority of these people are blacks.
This shows that the population density of Africa is not so high.
China has a much smaller land mass that holds at least 1,3 billion people and this shows that Africa still has massive growth potential.
The blacks of Africa cannot only be found in Africa, but also in the Americas. North and Central America and the West Indies have a big population of blacks owing to the transatlantic slave kidnappings.
Even before the period of slavery, there were blacks who travelled from Africa to the Americas by way of the Canary currents that are between the two continents. These blacks predated the Asians who crossed the Bering Strait to the Americas from Asia and are known as native Americans or Red Indians.
The black native Americans thrived as kings and priests and comprised the Olmec and Mayan civilisations, among others.
When Europeans took to killing them in order to take their land in the period of Columbus and the Conquistadors, these blacks fled deep into southern America and their descendants can still be found there, now mixed with the blacks who came by way of the slave kidnappings and trade.
The population of blacks in places like Brazil outnumbers most blacks in African countries and Brazil comes second to Nigeria in holding the largest black population on earth.
If a man takes a banana from Africa to England, that fruit is still a banana.
The same logic applies to blacks.
No matter where we end up, we are blacks and the homeland of blacks is Africa. This is why terms like Afro-American or African-American now exist.
The Chinese have a similar situation whereby they are scattered in different parts of the world.
The foreign Chinese are acknowledged as Chinese by their Government and are called Huaren and Huaqiao.
Anyone of the Han Dynasty who has his or her origins in the land of China is remembered and treated as a brother though they may be Malaysian, Singaporean, American or European by nationality.
Whatever achievements they accomplish will also be announced and glorified in China.
This brotherhood should be emulated by the black race which is letting its precious resource of black people scatter and languish in foreign lands without returning to or remembering to build their homeland.
Even Europeans set their efforts on building their own nations though they may relocate to other places like Africa and Australia through colonisation.
The first law of nature in animals and humans alike is self-preservation.
Blacks are trying to be Western or Eastern but are not trying to preserve themselves as they were made by God and cultured by their ancestors and environment.
If we know and love ourselves, we will protect what we love, which is our identity, culture, land and people.
Until then, other races who know and love themselves will overtake us because we are not mindful of our precious heritage yet they are doing all they can to make theirs survive and thrive.
If blacks from all lands unite in ideology and live out true pan-Africanism, no race on earth could match our potential because our population outnumbers all other races.
With the blacks of the Americas, Africa, Black Fellaz in Australia, the Siddhi in India and Pakistan and the many blacks of south-east Asia, a united cause and ideology among us will certainly increase much needed security and development in our region.
The whites have united through their North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO).
Why should we not have our own South Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Treaty Organisation which will cater for the interests of the black people who inhabit those lands?
Through NATO, if a non-white country fights against any European country, it has systematically declared war against all the NATO members.
Similar measures ought to be undertaken by blacks, not to compete with NATO but for the purpose of self-preservation.
All blacks are being prejudiced and suppressed the world over, including in the US and Europe which hypocritically claim to be the world leaders in freedom and democracy.
No other race but our own can get us out of this predicament which has plagued our kind for over 400 years now.
The customary habit of leaving Africa for the West only worsens our situation by way of brain drain and strengthens nations that work against us.
If there is something you envy about Europe, import it to Africa, whether it be clean streets, technology or what have you.
