They left us to face lions alone

Published on

EDITOR – I live in the Chikore Mission community close to the Musirizwi area where lions have been wreaking havoc. They killed cattle and we could not live freely. What is sad about this whole situation is that the Parks and Wildlife Management Authority people in the area were always seen drinking in the beerhalls around and not doing anything about the lions. I appreciate that they hold awareness campaigns on how we should conduct ourselves when such things happen, but I would like to believe that being prompt is necessary sometimes. Please find out for me what the relevant authorities can do to improve service in such cases because lions are dangerous animals. Catherine Chipinge
