This is your vote Cde President

Published on

EDITOR — I am a Zimbabwean based in the Diaspora, Botswana to be precise.
Let me start by congratulating you on your assumption of office.
Second, let me ask when you are coming to Botswana?
And finally let me get to the subject of my letter.
I am having a good laugh as I write this letter because I find it funny that we have well over 80 political parties seeking to outdo your presidency which has demonstrated to all and sundry what leadership is all about.
You have all those parties trying to contest for space, which, in my view, is already occupied, given what you have done so far.
I was, at first, among those who did not like you because of the perception that was built around you and your name, but as your presidency unravels, I am now beginning to understand why your enemies wanted you out.
They had seen your capabilities.
They knew that you had so much to offer the country, hence their attempts to tarnish your image.
I am very glad that you continue to disarm them of any weapon they think they possess against you.
They can continue to talk while you continue to work for the good of the country.
They can consult whomsoever they want, lie to each other, but that will do little to deter all those who are supporting you.
Cde President, I will be coming back to vote for you.

Simon,
Botswana
