We must not lose the Great Dyke

Published on

EDITOR – IT would give me great pleasure if you publish my letter because I feel my issue is of grave concern.
It is about the Great Dyke.
There is no doubt the Great Dyke is a strategic economic resource.
It is host to the platinum group of minerals (PGMs) meaning it possesses numerous minerals from gold to chrome that are capable of turning around the country’s economy.
However, someone tells me there are scandalous activities happening.
I think there are various companies mining as it is and it is important for Government to closely look at what is exactly taking place.
I met somebody who spoke passionately about the Great Dyke, but he was so angry about a certain company currently mining there.
All he said was if we are not careful, we are going to lose our Great Dyke because of some greedy people.
I got so worried that I decided to write to you so that you may take time and investigate this issue.
I don’t know if it is a hot potato, but I am sure there is no smoke without fire.
The man who spoke to me about the Great Dyke issue was very serious and I would be grateful if you follow it up.
