EDITOR – Cde Sikhanyiso Duke Ndlovu is gone.
I remember we met in Victoria Falls at the 21st February Movement.
We met again in Bulawayo at Barbourfields Stadium and that is when I realised that he was indeed an avid Highlanders supporter.
Always smiling, Cde Ndlovu the nationalist was such an inspiration.
I maintain that he is one man who stuck to the principles of nationalism to the grave.
The educationist he was, Cde Ndlovu never compromised on upholding the ideals of the liberation struggle.
He was certainly one of a kind and shall be dearly missed.
In fact he became some sort of a political godfather in Bulawayo and his commitment in the liberation of Zimbabwe will forever be remembered.
He was a true nationalist and despite all the detentions he endured, Cde Ndlovu never lost hope.
He fought to the very end and even established the Zimbabwe Distance Education College (ZEDCO) because of his love for education.
I believe Cde Ndlovu realised early that education is the key to empowerment and I trust his legacy will live on.
Go well dear comrade and may your soul rest in peace.
You are not just a hero, but more than a hero.
