Worlds apart with our oppressors

Published on

IN our culture we are taught that if you commit a crime and you are caught and punished for it, there after you should show contrition and seek to make amends, we are taught that a decent person does not keep flaunting themselves arrogantly as if they never committed a wrong.
We are taught that if someone refuses to reform, and commits more crime, the punishment will be harsher than before and they will have no-one to blame, but themselves.
But apparently this is not true in the culture of the British
In our culture we also know that there is a Supreme Being responsible for the existence of mankind on this planet and this Supreme Being is not amused by others who permanently act as if they are more equal than others.
Apparently in British culture, they are not aware of this.
Despite what the British did to us, we did not become terrorists.
The British and their European and American relatives have a crazy theory that people become terrorists because they are so-called radicalised.
They should do some soul-searching.
Despite British terrorism that was unleashed on us for 90 years we never became terrorists.
British terrorism could not turn us into terrorists.
After Lancaster, we extended the hand of reconciliation, we the antagonised, the victors, extended the hand of reconciliation to the British terrorists who had brutally murdered thousands of our kith and kin in order to perpetuate their robbery of our land and resources.
This hand of reconciliation was spurned and insulted.
You don’t become terrorists because you are radicalised, you need to be a people with a basic humanity.
They terrorised us, who had radicalised them?
Unless the argument is that their poverty radicalised them, but we were not responsible for Britain’s poverty so why target us?
We were their choice of prey, we had everything they coveted most.
So you become radicalised because you are poor and others are rich, so you terrorise them until you have gleaned them of everything they have, their humanity even, if you could pull it off?
We are worlds apart.
Kwatinosundira vana vedu hakuziko, our children cannot learn anything worthwhile from the British, the best they need to learn is from their own people who are great enough to fight a bitter war of liberation and still remain human.
We did not become beasts because others brutally stole our land and wealth and murdered thousands of us to maintain this robbery.
We have a very human culture that taught us to fight for a just cause by just means and we never went outside that, during and after the war.
We were murdered, but we never became murderers.
Our children should learn about our values that are far superior than of those who still purport to rule us although we booted them out at gunpoint.
Despite booting them out at gunpoint, we still treated them as people, but now they the terrorists tell us where to go and where not to go as if it is us who are the terrorists.
When this is done to us we do not pay back in the same coin because we operate at a far superior level, we recognise that we share the same planet earth and so we are neighbours and this calls for some civility.
They have the temerity to impose sanctions on a freedom fighter when they the terrorist still come and go as they please.
Who is more human, them or us?
They want to trade with us, but our President is persona non grata, so we are not persons with any dignity at all, you want our wealth, but we are not a worthy people?
So our wealth is palatable, but not our President?
What hypocrisy?
The barbarism of refusing others freedom of movement is unconscionable.
So our President is not protected by the United Nations (UN) Charter?
So those who ban our President are not bound by the UN Charter, they are laws unto themselves?
So who is the villain?
If we teach our children the values of our people, the future and greatness of this nation of Zimbabwe is guaranteed, but if we teach them to follow the values of our enemies who have shamelessly terrorised us for more than a century, we will never be at peace because those are values of vultures.
