Well done Madzimai!

EDITOR – PLEASE correct me if I am wrong, but I think our Mighty Warrior, Rutendo Makore, has made history by becoming the first black Zimbabwean woman to play football in Europe.
Makore is currently playing in the Spanish league for Sporting Club de Huelva.
She has made history and this breakthrough must be the beginning of more local talent being exported to top European leagues.
The development boosts our football as our players are set to have more exposure in new football trends globally.
We must all be proud to see ‘Madzimai’ tussling for possession in the top leagues of Europe, where women soccer is growing in leaps and bounds.
Makore has been a regular member of our Mighty Warriors and played for Black Rhinos.
Thumbs up to the coaches who recognised her. She has scaled dizzy heights due to hard work.
This must be an inspiration to other football players, especially women in Zimbabwe.
They must emulate Madzimai.
She is a disciplined forward and hard-working player who always wants positive results.
I was so proud when I learnt Madzimai was influential as her club Sporting Club de Huelva won last weekend.
This is very encouraging and for a sport that is in disarray back home, Dr Philip Chiyangwa as ZIFA president needs to make sure that the girls play in a competitive league to ensure that we export more and more talent to Europe.
Well done Makore.
You have shown the world that there is talent that needs to be tapped in Zimbabwe.
Good luck in all your matches and I’m certain if you maintain your current form, you will be in Spain, not just for six months, but for years.
Thank you Madzimai for flying Zimbabwe’s flag high.
You are a star and once again, I say well done Madzimai!
