2019 African Netball Championships kicks off.

The African Netball championships run by International Netball Federation (INF) kick off in South Africa from the 18th to the 22nd of October 2019.
Africa’s best eight netball teams goes head to head competing for the continent’s ultimate netball prize in Cape Town.
Following an impressive display which landed the team on the 8th position at the 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool the team is geared for more Gemstones.
Zimbabwe Netball team which goes by the moniker The Gems were drawn in Group B with defending champions Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
The ‘’Zimbabwe Gems’ technical crew made some changes to strengthen the squad prior to their departure on Thursday.
The technical team finally announced the final squad for the tournament.
The Zimbabwe Gems carry huge expectations on their shoulders.
The nation expects the girls to contest for honours as well as improve on the rankings.
Almost eight games will be played in the five days extravaganza.
However, following the failure for the Zimbabwe Netball League to take off, most have not played competitively since the world cup.
Also National foods has donated RTGS250 000 to the Zimbabwe net ball team in an initiative to uplift the girl child.
