Rome wasn’t built in a day

Published on

IN November 2017, we celebrated as President Emmerson Mnangagwa took over what many will agree was an economy belly-up in deep mud.

We were in a new Zimbabwe and the current leadership must be given a chance.

I get frustrated when I see my fellow countrymen having selective dementia.

Indeed, ED and team have never really been given the chance to shine.

Was Rome built in a day?

The latest move to create our own currency, a noble move in my view, is once again being met with harsh criticism from most quarters.

Fellow Zimbabweans, for how long are we to remain slaves?

What do you really want?

I listened with pride to the passionate and genuine talk by ED about the dire need to have our own currency.

This we must have!

How can one ever be respected without this?

I recall a time, not so long ago, when the Zim-dollar was so powerful, it traded competitively with major currencies.

Internal sabotage and corruption are clearly our worst enemies at the moment.

What is needed most is a healthy display of patriotism and support for the efforts being made to make our Zimbabwe a better place.

If we care about Zimbabwe and not our selfish selves, then we must support current efforts.

Let us rebuild together rather than pull our country down.

Be the change you want to see.

Forever Patriotic,

Clementinah.
