More misery awaits Bosso in ZNA Charities?

HIGHLANDERS and Dynamos clash again this Sunday at Rufaro Stadium in the Commander ZNA Charities Shield soccer match.
The Harare giants beat CAPS United in the semi-final at Rufaro while Bosso beat How Mine to secure a berth in the final.
The two oldest clubs in Zimbabwe clash for charity this weekend seven days after a 1-all draw in a league fixture at Barbourfields Stadium.
Stakes will be high in the ‘Battle of Zimbabwe III’ as Highlanders seek to end Dynamos’ dominance.
Last Sunday, just like in other meetings, Bosso scored first, but failed to defend the goal that was scored by Dembare’s Takesure Chinyama.
Bosso’s vice-chairman, Mcini Mpofu was optimistic that they will end Dynamos’ dominance.
“I think everything has a beginning and an end so this time we are going to finish them off,” he said.
“Last week they survived and it’s high time we end their dominance over us and we are going to make sure that the time is now.”
Dynamos treasurer, Webster Marechera said their performance will not be affected by the absence of players on national duty, Carlos Rusere, Tatenda Mukuruva and Blessing Moyo.
“We will miss a few players, but we have registered 30 players who are capable of doing the job at any stage,” he said.
Both teams will be missing at least three players each who are with the Under-23 national team.
Dynamos welcome Ronald Chitiyo from injury who missed last week’s fixture.
Upfront Dynamos have a boost in the form of Chinyama who plays his second game – if selected – this weekend.
Roderick Mutuma is another option upfront if Mandigora decides to rest Chinyama for the ZPC Kariba match next weekend.
Highlanders gaffer Bongani Mafu is likely to entrust the goals to Ariel Sibanda while the defence might be marshalled by Eric Mudzingwa.
Webster Chingodza might play in the right back position while Bruce Kangwa manages the left back.
Simon Munava may be the defensive linkman, while Rahman Kutsanzira is another midfield option for Mafu for Sunday’s tie.
Upfront Gabriel Nyoni is available for selection in the absence of Thomas Chideu.
Obadiah Tarumbwa is expected to lead the Bosso raid on Dynamos goal.
It remains to be seen whether Bosso finally turn the tables against Dynamos on Sunday to register the first victory in nine years.
The match starts at 3pm and gate fees are pegged at US$3 for rest of the ground.
The winner pockets US$12 000 while the losing finalist pockets US$8 000.
