American embassy up to no good

Published on

EDITOR – I have been a newspaper vendor for some time now, but I have failed to understand many things. The Americans are favouring vendors in the country who specialise in selling papers notably Daily News and News Day among others. Rumour is circulating among the vendors that the USA embassy is giving money to help us, will we get the money too and not only those from Daily News? There was a party for them again not a long time ago and we were not invited. This is unfair. They say this is in recognition of their contribution in the dissemination of information in Zimbabwe. It, however, defies logic for the embassy to leave out other street vendors. I get the impression that the embassy wants to leave us out. Why?
