Campus shutdown party with Winky D

STUDENTS from various tertiary institutions countrywide will today (Friday) converge for the Sting Campus Shutdown party in Belgravia, Harare.
The party that promotes AFDIS’ Sting beverage, according to a statement from AFDIS, “aims to bring entertainment to the students in Sting fashion”.
The party that starts at 6pm will be graced by Zim-dancehall King Winky D who will share the stage with Urban Groove artistes Roki, ExQ and Legendary Sounds.
“There is going to be entertainment galore at the Sting Campus Shutdown gig, which is a continuation from where we left in September,” said AFDIS marketing officer Sandile Moyo.
“As everything is heading towards shutdown ahead of the festive season, we have decided to end the year with a concert for our consumers,”
Revellers with student identification cards will pay US$2 while the rest pay US$3.
The legendary Winky D will be riding high with his recently released compilation album, Gafa Life.
The compilation album with tracks ‘Gafa Life’, ‘Mirror’, ‘Woshora’, ‘Idya Mari’, ‘Ngoma Futi’, ‘Holiday’ featuring Guspy Warrior, ‘Survivor’, ‘Copyrights’, ‘Not Nice’ and ‘Disappear’ has cemented Winky D’s claim to the Zim-dancehall throne in the country.
And veteran urban groovers Roki and ExQ are no lightweights either as they have collaborations that have been well received.
The duo is riding high with their duet ‘Alleluya’.
The glittering video of the song has over 70 000 views on YouTube.
As much as students will throng the shutdown party, it is hoped they will be disciplined and desist from unruly and immoral behaviour.
