THE Nelson Mandela Hall at Glamis Arena will next month reverberate with reggae sounds in a bash dubbed ‘More Love Reggae Bash’.
International reggae artistes Titus Whittle, professionally known as Kingly T and George Scott better known as Wild Life are expected to grace the event.
Kingly T is a USA-born artiste based in Jamaica.
The bash, that is being promoted by Winners Splash, seeks to unite artistes from Roots/ Conscious Reggae with local dancehall artistes.
In a statement Winners Splash said Kingly T and Wild Life were invited to perform based on their competence, relevance and achievement in the music industry.
“These two artistes have originality, authenticity, talent and are making waves in Reggae right now,” said the promoters.
The duo will be performing with a South African-based live band, Azania Band.
“The bash also aims at encouraging live band performances and there will be seven live band performances on the day”.
The gig will also serve as an introduction of Winners Splash Promotions.
Local acts at the bash will include King Shaddy, Guspy Warrior, Mannex, Ricky Fire, and Transit Crew, who will all perform with live bands.
Two new artistes, Kudah Chiwamira and Jah Warria will also perform.
The promoters expressed confidence in Kingly T, who has vast international stage experience having played at Reggae Sunsplash in Jamaica, Japan, Canada and South America
His new album Live the Life has been getting airplay all over USA, Europe, South America and many African countries.
His popular tracks include ‘Eastward Bound’ and ‘Only Jah’.
And Wild Life is best known as ‘Voice of Thunda’ by his counterparts.
Apart from perfoming at Glamis, the duo will also visit ghetto areas such Chitungwiza, Highfield, Glen Norah, Mabvuku and Warren Park.
