It’s not over until it’s over: Tutani

RELEGATION threatened Black Rhinos coach Arthur Tutani believes the battle for survival is not yet over.
The gaffer, however, conceded that the 0-3 loss to Highlanders last Sunday had made life difficult for them.
“The chances of surviving relegation are now getting slimmer and slimmer, but it’s not over until it’s over,” said the former Mwana Africa coach.
Black Rhinos are occupying a precarious position, 13 on the log that might see the league returnees returning to the Northern Region Division One Soccer next season.
They have amassed 27 points from 25 games, five points shy of Black Mambas and Hwange who are on position 12 and 11 respectively.
They travel to Callies this weekend for a relegation battle with Motor Action who are rooted at the bottom of the log.
To survive relegation, the army side will need to beat Harare City at Rimuka, CAPS United at the National Sports, Hwange at Rimuka fortress before winding up action in Harare against Monomotapa.
The tough fixtures will shape the destiny of the army side.
‘Chauya Chipembere’ as the Black Rhinos are affectionately known relocated to Kadoma to use Rimuka Stadium as their home ground.
The move was welcomed by the soccer lovers from the City of Gold as they last watched premiership action in the days of Eiffel Flats which is now in the Second Division.
Arthur Tutani, an accomplished coach presided over the promotion of Sporting Lions in 2001 and Bindura- based Mwana Africa in 2005 into the PSL.
Monomotapa are also in the red as they are occupying 14th position on the log.
Monomotapa may find themselves in the First Division, a league they graduated from in 2004 after Friday ‘Amayenge’ Phiri guided them into the top league.
Monoz have managed to collect 25 points and their chances of survival are getting narrower by the day.
Last year Monoz reached the finals of the Mbada Diamonds Cup, but this year failed to raise the bar.
Motor Action are now first division material together with Tripple B.
If the log standings do not change until Week 30, three Northern region sides will revert back to the First Division.
