Keep warm in style this winter

THE winter season has come with a big bang with people who are fashion conscious currently updating their wardrobes. Classy and classic are the current fashion features which are making a statement this winter. For those going trendy in winter coats, trench coats and turtlenecks are being prioritised by ladies this season. Cashmere shawls always keep up the appearances with most ladies during the winter season. Leggings are also being worn by young ladies. In spite of being tight and to some explicit, local fashion designer Tendai Tom said ladies usually wear them with shirts or sweaters that are long enough to cover their backside. “Ladies’ skinny jeans, straight leg and a boot cut also fall under this (leggings) category,” she said. Ladies’ shoes are characterised by fuzzy boots that have been shoved off by the obtaining global fashion trends. Fashion analysts argue that they are usually heavy and unfit to match the various spectacular outfits in the offing. However, ladies are currently sticking to these as some are lured by the desire to keep warm. Flat riding boots are also a priority for those who want to be sparkling this winter. The young working class, on the other hand, are going wow in pumps with short little dresses of a three-piece suit or other wonderful trendy dresses that fall just above the knees. The most stunning fashion this season for men is casual coats such as the corduroy or velvet jackets, leather coats and double breasted sniper jackets. People wear these jackets with trousers of different material while the most preferred colours are black, grey and brown. The Milan Fall 2011 Fashion Week recently said black and brown colours were out of fashion for men. The exhibition noted that bright pink, orange, red and green coats were finding their way into men’s fashion world, adding that these were “boyish” colours. Men’s suits are usually complemented with cardigans for warmth. Men’s grey, brown and black winter tweed and corduroy suits are also growing in popularity especially among the middle-aged working class. People from all walks of life are taking greater strides to ensure that they are warm, but the urge is to go trendy and do it in style.
