Shutting down Zim: Nothing as unpatriotic

Published on

SOME things about Zimbabwe irk the world, I don’t even think they know what it is.
This was even more apparent in the events that unfolded in the last two or three weeks, mainly in the capital Harare.
A handful of Western-sponsored sell-outs bark for their supper and our enemies pretend they do not know that these are planted and their pay cheques are as big and as fat as their barks.
They do not want to acknowledge this is political prostitution and is despicable to the broad masses of Zimbabwe.
They want to say this wretched, desperate attempt by Western agents to please their masters is the colour of Zimbabwe.
They want to hide the fact these represent the lost tribe of Zimbabwe, not the real Zimbabwean who fought and redeemed this land.
Zimbabweans and their wishes cannot be represented by a handful of greedy malcontents mainly based in Harare; these can never be who we are.
Whether they call themselves Tajamuka or ‘flag something’, it is not the names which matter, but what their mission is and who sponsors this mission.
As for the desecration of our National Flag, this seals their fate.
Every square inch of that flag was brought by the blood and suffering of those who said Zimbabwe is for Zimbabweans forever and paid the ultimate price to safeguard this.
The temerity to turn this inside-out and upside down by wearing this flag to represent the interests of those who once robbed us of our Zimbabwe and who will recolonise us, if given half a chance, is treachery that is unforgivable, it is that which spells their doom.
The so-called stay-away meant to ‘shut down Zimbabwe’ is so unpatriotic.
It is impossible to imagine any sane Zimbabwean taking part in it.
At any rate, it is ludicrous for anyone to think they can shut Zimbabwe down.
Zimbabwe is not defined by shops, banks, traders or commerce.
Zimbabwe is its people and their willpower and no-one can rob us of that, no-one can shut that down.
Shops, banks, traders exist because Zimbabwe exists, because Zimbabweans willed it be so, that through their work and the wealth they create brought these into being.
Zimbabwe existed before the whiteman came with his shops and banks and Zimbabwe continued after they shut their shops and left protesting the war and liberation.
Zimbabwe continued after they shut down their shops and left, protesting our independence.
Zimbabwe continued after they shut down their shops and left in protest against the land revolution and they still shut down and left in 2007 and 2008 in their desperate bid to install puppet Morgan Tsvangirai, they even threatened invasion, but to no avail; Zimbabwe continues.
Zimbabwe does not exist because of the presence of the whiteman and his enterprises.
It is us, our willpower and the wealth we produce with the labour of our hands and minds who make up Zimbabwe.
It is that which defines us, we will always be here; our people, land, wealth and our will to be.
The whites never came because we invited them, they came of their own volition, looking for what we have and that remains true.
The whiteman’s warped political economy that they make you or break you with their pounds, shillings and pence, dollars and cents is false.
We defeated their pounds and shillings with our willpower, our will to be Zimbabwe, the land of the Africans, God-given and inalienable.
The residents of Harare, after being whipped into the nonsensical frenzy, soon realised they were being driven on the road to nowhere and restored themselves to normalcy.
In the end, they argued to the perpetrators of violent destruction that if they do not work, they will starve, but what they didn’t ask is: Who sponsors all those vehicles?
Who buys or prints all those flags?
Who puts their food on the table while they are chanting that no-one should go to work?
How come they look so well-dressed, groomed, so well-fed, who foots the bill?
Where do these people work so that they can live so well while they urge others not to work?
They didn’t ask who pays all those lawyers and all those flights in and out of Harare.
Who and what is Zimbabwe?
The rogue element hand-picked, trained and planted by the West is Zimbabwe?
This would be a great joke were it not so sinister in its intent.
They rustle them from among those who will do anything for money, bolster them up on local media inimical to Zimbabwe and others such as eNCA of South Africa who lap up their false claims because they have kindred agenda.
The people who are Zimbabwe have not spoken since July 2013 when they crowned their King, they are at peace with their choice and Zimbabwe continues undeterred.
Those who seek our demise are poor historians.
We defeated the might of the West in our Second Chimurenga and more recently in our Third Chimurenga.
There is nothing new or special about the recent spurt of sell-outs spawned by the West’s regime change agenda.
They come in waves, we fight and they go.
It is just another face of Tsvangirai, his song is long exhausted.
The West thinks if the mantra is dressed differently, its fortunes in Zimbabwe might change.
Some are self-exiled writers and musicians who claim Zimbabwe is after their lives and they perish in exile, destitutes while Zimbabwe marches on.
We have seen this among political pundits who claim intellectual supremacy as a platform for vilifying the land of their birth, nothing changes, Zimbabwe continues.
Some work through non-governmental organisations, but whoever the instrument is, we know what this is all about, they want what we repossessed, our land.
For their covetousness, they throw peanuts at those who shun honest hard work but prefer to bark at their people for a packet of peanuts.
All said the bottom line is the love and sacrifice that brought Zimbabwe into being is the foundation on which all true Zimbabweans base and build their defence of the motherland.
