Vimbai Mutinhiri, who is representing Zimbabwe in the show alongside Wendall Parson, survived eviction this week after being among the six housemates who had been nominated. She was told to return to the ‘Heads’ house, thanks to the multitude of Zimbabweans who rallied behind her. Most of Vimbai’s 17 percent votes were from Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Kenya. She came third in the overall vote for the six nominated housemates. Like Vimbai, other housemates also drew support from their home countries and the total was used to eliminate Jossy. The Namibian was evicted because he had nine percent, the least votes compared to Danny from Ethiopia. Weza from Angola topped the country votes with 24 percent of the total , claiming her home country, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Malawi and Botswana. Nigeria’s Vina was second with 20 percent and had votes from three countries like Vimbai. Zeus from Botswana managed to save himself from possible eviction by nominating Vimbai fun his place taking advantage of his status as ‘Head of the House’ last week. When she heard about this, Vimbai was astonished, but Zeus apologised and explained why he had done so. After discovering that they were safe, Vimbai, Confidence, Vina and Weza returned to the ‘Heads’ house to continue with the show. Danny, on the other hand, was sent to the ‘Tails’ house. Lotus, who was evicted from the ‘Heads’ and sent to the ‘Tails’ house was happy to see Danny. The ‘Tails’ house will make their nominations for eviction this weekend. The good news for Zimbabweans is that both Wendall and Vimbai are in the ‘Heads’ house where there are no nominations.
