Corrupting African cultures…who should be sanctioned?

ONE big problem is that millions of Af-ricans have become parrots of whatever ideas come from the West such that little, if any, critical thinking is applied to what-ever comes from the West. When the West defines corruption for us, however narrowly to suit their inter-ests, we parrot and start barking on their behalf.

Similarly, when the West declares that it is imposing targeted sanctions on who-ever they identify as corrupt in Africa, we do not apply critical thinking but parrot and bark with zeal on their behalf. In this article, I want to invite read-ers to think about the question: Who is corrupting African cultures, including morals?

I want readers to critically question why corruption is defined so narrowly by Westerners who are also ironically com-plicit in corrupting African cultures.I want readers to critically think about why those that are corrupting African cul-tures are not being targeted with Western sanctions.Currently humanity, including Afri-cans, is being encouraged by Western corporations to marry humanoid sex robots which are already being produced and sold for around US$10 000 around the world.

During the social distancing in the midst of COVID-19, humanoid sex robots sales shot up as manufacturers marked them as safe, uninfected, homebound, docile and not as quarrelsome as human spouses and sex partners.Humanoid sex robots are meant to re-place human sexual partners and spouses – and so they are being deliberately made as attractive as possible, including ap-pearing in the image of world models.

Humanoid sex robots are appearing with artificial intelligence, with silicon bodies, with the ability to converse, with heated artificial sex organs and so on.
Indeed, humanity, including Africans, is being encouraged and sponsored by the West to adopt homosexuality – and those African countries which are refusing or banning homosexuality are being sanc-tioned by the West.

Of course, there are also emerging discourses in the West which are encour-aging bestiality where humans would be sponsored to have sex with non-human animals including dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, goats and so on.Besides, it is common cause that West-ern liberal freedoms promoted and spon-sored prostitution and more generally, eroded the sanctity of human sexuality such that now it is ‘anything goes’ in the realm of sexuality. To note here is the fact that a citizen who does not respect the sanctity of his or her body would, by extension, not be able to respect the sanctity of his or her nation.

Yet Western liberalism and post-mod-ern sexualities are eroding the sanctity of the bodies of citizens. When African liberation fighters went to war against colonialists, they were not doing so for Africans to practise such kinds of weird and corrupting ‘freedoms’ which the West is promoting on the continent. African liberation fighters went to war to ensure that Africans regained their freedom to own their resources and to practise their cultures which were being trampled on by colonialists.

Culture offers humanity strategic ad-vantages and positions such that to let one’s culture to be eroded is by extension to lose the strategic advantages that one’s culture provides.Indeed, nations are founded on cul-tures, including normativities, such that when cultures are eroded, nations begin to collapse as well.
The degradation of African cultures including marriages, families, religions, values and morals should be a fundamen-tal part of the definition of corruption and should be included in anti-corruption laws on the continent of Africa.

It is culture that distinguishes human beings from non-human animals.
Yet the West is eroding and corrupting African cultures in their bid to turn Afri-cans into animals and to render humans indistinct from non-human animals.
When humans are hailed to throw away African values, morals, religions and cultures more generally, this amounts to corrupting African cultures.

When in the name of Western liberal-ism, Africans are hailed to have sex with animals or with the same sex in ways that degrade and decentre African marriages, values, religions, spirituality and families why must this not count as corruption?
When Africans are turned away from valuing their ancestral values and mores, why should this not count as corruption?

Of course, in the name of Western hu-man rights, African cultures are suffering resilient corruption even as Westerners are keeping and jealously guarding their own cultures.
The British people jealously guard and protect their monarchy which ensures that British culture is maintained, and

even spread across the world. Of course, the British
monarchy also heads the Commonwealth, unelected as it is.
The Queen Elizabeth II was until her death at the helm of the Commonwealth. Now her successor, King Charles III, is the new head.
No one questions Western culture when it is imposed on Africans but many, including some Africans, sadly celebrate when African cultures are corrupted by West- erners who via some NGOs, CSOs,
churches and other related movements preach and sponsor subversions of African cultures.
Even as they have advised other people that when you are in Rome, do as the Romans do, Westerners directly or via their African proxies oppose and corrupt African cultures when they are in Africa.
They do not do as Africans do when they are in Africa. In fact, they oppose and sponsor subversions of African ways of life when they are in Africa.
Why not also dictate that ‘When you are in Africa, do as Africans do’?
Westerners have greatly narrowed the definition of corruption that many of us in Africa fail to recognise how our African cultures are being corrupted by the same Westerners who ironically pretend to be fighting corruption in Africa.
What I mean is that when Westerners themselves say ‘charity begins at home’ they are in essence saying that the home must not be corrupted because when the home is corrupted there will be no charity even in the nation. Yet the same Westerners are corrupting African homes.
Westerners corrupt African marriages, families and homes when they sponsor or fund movements which
seek to and, in fact, subvert African cultures, values, beliefs, morals and etiquette.
The question is how can one expect charity in Africa when African homes are being corrupted and subverted?
The home is a very important place and so it is imperative
