WE, in the village, are delighted by ZANU PF’s victory in the just ended harmonised general elections.

In every election held in the country, a lot is always at stake; ours is not just a beautiful country but one envied and coveted by many.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa won the 2023 harmonised general elections.

Peaceful our polls may be but they are a battle, not against mere political opponents but imperialists wishing to impose their will on the country through proxies.

Since 1980, ZANU PF’s victory has always been certain as the revolutionary Party’s policies continue to appeal to the black majority who now fully appreciate that they are masters of their destiny and are confident in their ability to control the country’s resources.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has effectively communicated this belief, the philosophy that: Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo/Ilizwe liyakhwa ngabanikazi, to the people.

While Nelson Chamisa claims to have engaged the people, he has not been able to offer solutions to the economic and social challenges bedevilling the country.

ZANU PF’s victory must be credited to the policies formulated and implemented by the Party that has actually transformed lives and now no-one doubts what empowerment can do for individuals and families.

And it is this success in enhancing the dignity and sovereignty of Zimbabweans, which has inspired the West to sponsor a vigorous regime change agenda in the country, which has fortunately found no takers.

The beating of the Western-sponsored CCC at the polls is a vote of confidence in the policies of ZANU PF.

Naysayers may say what they want but the people of Zimbabwe trust ZANU PF to deliver the development they desire.

And the revolutionary Party should embrace this challenge with both hands and continue to deliver more development.

The electorate has already tasted empowerment through land ownership as well as running industries.

And they are hungry for more.

People are looking forward to a speedy transformation of their lives through the policies of ZANU PF and it has not disappointed.

However, as a people, as patriots, we must be aware that the road to the expected boom is not going to be easy.

It should never be forgotten that what ZANU PF has defeated in these elections is not a mere political party; CCC is just a proxy of Western imperialism; the real enemy is not Chamisa, but Western imperialism,

And imperialists never give up.

A walloping of Chamisa does not mean the end of the desire by the West to control our resources.

The present attempt by Western mouthpieces, both local and foreign, to soil our political environment, should be seen as the kicks of a dying desperate horse.

Fictitious and alarmist stories about our poll will not dampen the victorious mood of the nation.

Yet they are a reminder that we must always be vigilant.

It has been said time-and-again and it remains true that the Chamisa-led CCC, though attempting to present itself as a ‘new party’ created to ‘save’ Zimbabwe, the fault-lines in this so-called new political outfit are so vivid and there for all to see.

There are many glaring weaknesses in the CCC.

The opposition party has a long way to go in terms of ideology, planning, structures and many aspects of leadership.

The CCC is a collection of friends without positions of power and proper administration of party affairs.

On April 19 2022, Freeman Chari tweeted: “CCC will not win elections with an organising department that still walks around with exercise books.

CCC will not win elections with just volunteers, it needs 32 full-time positions.”

The writing has always been on the wall for CCC.

Nothing unusual about its loss!

So right was former Sunday Mail editor Mabasa Sasa when he submitted that CCC is just trying to force itself into the annals of history.

Wrote Sasa: “An immediate criticism after the unveiling of the latest manifestation of the opposition is that there is nothing in it directly speaking to being Zimbabwean, being situated in Zimbabwe, or working for Zimbabweans,

CCC speaks to no ideological grounding, and not by mistake. It is part of a calculated co-ordinated counter revolution to make nationalism and patriotism subservient to a deliberately amorphous ‘change.’

To borrow from Amir Hussain, this is a politics that is ‘about’ consumerism where ideas are packaged like products with no inner meanings beyond the description on the wrapper.

CCC is a post ideological brand of politics that is long on impression and images, but woefully short on content.

And to support it requires willful castration of intellect.”

And Chamisa’s Western backers, way before the elections, had already shown skepticism about their candidate scoring victory in the 2023 harmonised elections due to his indecisiveness and failure to assert himself as a vibrant leader.

The CCC has a long way to go in terms of regularising their operations.

Their defeat in the 2023 harmonised elections was a foregone conclusion.
